Theodore Cockerell papers, 1900-1949.

The collection contains letters from Cockerell to Wilmatte Porter, his second wife. Most were written in 1900 while Cockerell was teaching entomology at the New Mexico Agricultural College. Also included are reprints of articles by Cockerell from 1929 to 1948; letters to Cockerell from his brother Douglas describing the effects of World War II on day-to-day British life; and notes by Wilmatte on the Okapi and her work with the Red Sunflower.
